New Year Resolutions

I like the Annaliese posts her resolutions so I am copying that.  I hope it will help me feel more accountable for my goals. I am trying to make them attainable too. I think these will work for me.

Becky's New Years Resolutions:

Physical Heath Goals
  1. Work out 2x a week at the gym plus add at home exercises too. I have a decent amount of baby weight that needs to leave
  1. Learn to like salad. I hate it so much, but I know its good for me and I want to eat healthier. I guess just eat more veggies in general. I don't know if I can actually like them or not.
Family Goals
  1. Teach my kids. I was so much better at doing "mommy school" type stuff when Libby was little and I didn't have 2 others vying for my attention. Now that we are getting used to having 3 kids, I want to do better. Elliot the ABC's, shapes, numbers (he's got about half the alphabet and I've actually heard him count to 13 correctly). Libby to read (she is getting really good at sounding small words out, so I think this will be fun and not too hard if I get consistent) and Eleanor to crawl, walk, talk and hope she stays the happiest baby ever!
  1. Potty train the boy. It's past time. (Sigh). I really don't want to, but it needs to be done.
Organizing and Etsy Goals
  1. Sew down my fabric stash. I want to have a sewing day like 1x a month or something where I just get as many projects done as possible. I have a lot I should do.
  1. Get into a better/more productive cleaning routine and be more organized. I got a filing cabinet for Christmas and I am hoping to cut down on paper clutter and file the mail as I open it.
Spiritual Health
  1. Go to the temple 1x a month
  1. Read something uplifting everyday

almost 38 weeks

Getting ready to meet our baby girl. Last Wednesday I was 2 cm dilated, we'll see if I've changed much tomorrow. I can't really think of anything else to do to get ready. Both kids rooms are decorated, we have diapers and anything else we should need. We rearranged and actually decorated our room so there is room for the bassinet and rocking chair. The baby seems to have dropped down so my ribs aren't so sore, which is nice. I feel ready and nervous at the same time. I'm kinda afraid it've forgotten how to have a baby since Elliot was so different; I never even felt contractions (epidural was in before so my blood pressure wouldn't go any higher) and I didn't push at all-he sorta slid out being so small. I'm sure ill remember just fine and it will go great, but I am still nervous for labor. I actually had to go to labor and delivery Saturday because I was super swollen and couldn't get it to go down, which is a sign of preeclampsia. My blood pressure was fine though so they just monitored me and baby for 45 min and sent me home. They want me to be extra cautious though, so every little thing is important.

28 week pregnancy update

We have hit the 3rd trimester of pregnancy now!  I am now 29 weeks but at 28 weeks we got a peek at Miss Eleanor. She looked quite comfy all stretched out in there. She is measuring at the right size and I am no longer partial previa so a c section isn't required! Yay. I had a bunch of tests done and I passed the diabetes, platelet count, and liver tests! Another yay! My blood pressure was also really good. The only not so great thing was my iron was low. They'll check it again next time and might put me on a supplement. I wish I liked leafy greens, like at all, so I could get my iron and increase veggies, but I find them generally repulsive, I can only stand small amounts of lettuce on sandwiches. Anyways, fingers crossed I keep passing my tests.

I am getting anxious to be done with this pregnancy though. I have had horrible heartburn lately and I am very uncomfortable all the time. I've made some cute things for the baby's room too which make me excited to decorate. Her room is being used as a temporary workspace though. I am a vendor at the Wonderland boutique June 6-7 so I have been working like crazy. Richard is gone a lot of nights and I don't like being down in the basement while the kids sleep. (not used to this big house I guess). I feel like I haven't done nearly enough for the boutique but I have worn myself out, plus trying to get ready for the Bell family reunion and generally have fun with my kids, iI think I may finish the last few I have cut out and call it good. One of my aprons will be on TV on Tuesday. I don't really know any details, but the boutique is getting a shout out and my Elsa dress up apron will be featured. Woohoo, almost famous!

Sorry no house pics yet! We're getting our couch delivered on Tuesday, so we have to wait for that and we just barely got the desktop to connect to the internet and that's where I like to do anything with pictures (i'm way too lazy to look for the USB camera cord, I'd rather just stick the card into the card reader). For now you can see random pics on Facebook/Instagram.

Also hopefully soon we'll have a video of Libby singing in the ward talent show. I'm so proud of her, she really did awesome! We didn't know she'd be so brave!

26

Yesterday was my Birthday! It was a really fun one too! We started out the day by not sharing the bed with Elliot till 6:30am, when lately it's been more like 2 or 3 am due to some teething. I felt so rested, which was good b/c we had to get up earlyish to go running :) It was a color run and awesome. We had a babysitter for the kids and Julie and Michael came too. After the run/color festivities, we walked home and had a KFC picnic and ate ice cream cake. It was delicious! Then I got a little nap. :)  I also got to go to my favorite fabric store in town, Porters, and found some sweet deals on fabric. Gotta love finding fabric for 1.88/yd! After dinner we went swimming and since Libby wore a life jacket, I actually got to swim without holding a child which felt so good compared to just walking around. Finished the day with finishing up a huge project/etsy order! Productive and fun day!

Pre run picture

Julie and Michael. I don't know if I would've been as cool as Julie and done it 8 months pregnant! Go Julie!

After the run, but before the big color festivities

Ditto. I didn't get any final pics, but we were much more colorful

Elliot's war paint. He was so confused as to why we looked so weird when we got home. He kept doing double takes

Libby really wanted some color on her face

Brave girl ready to jump in

Elliot and his ball obsession

Yay for swimming! We go at least 2x a week I think

Etsy

So I started an etsy shop back when Libby was a baby (there's a link to it on the right side bar if you scroll down) . I got a few sales on my tutus and hair clips, but not enough to really make much of an effort with the shop. Well, recently I decided to start it up again with some new items. We have a mini crib and when we got it, I realized it's hard to find sheets for them. the ones i found were pretty boring too. So I made one. For some reason it only recently clicked that other people probably have the same problem with finding these teeny tiny sheets. So on Monday I posted 3 different types of mini crib sheets (flannel, cotton, and minky) in many awesome fabric choices. By Saturday I had 2 sales! {Victory dance} I'm pretty excited, less than a week and 2 sales is pretty good. i'm hoping it keeps going well, especially with all the fabric I've bought and sheets I already made....I"m also working on some fun dress up clothes to add to the shop; Mostly aprons that look like princess costumes or superheroes. (aprons are much easier to put on a kid than a full costume, is my thinking). There is this one etsy shop that sells really cute princess aprons and they charge $60! They are cute, but not worth $60. I made a practice Snow white one and it cost me probably less than $4 to make, so I'll probably sell them for $12-15. My goal for my shop is to charge a reasonable price for things, I never buy things on Etsy b/c everything seems way over-priced and I usually figure I can make it or find it on Amazon for a better deal. I assume other people feel that way too.

Anyways....that's pretty much it.
