On Richard's day off we went to Seattle to visit mom. Here are some pics from Libby's first ferry ride.
p.s. what are your opinions about Richard's shirt? I tried to talk him out if it....

Libby Updates

So we've been kind of lazy this month when it comes to blogging, etc. Liberty is 4 months old now. She some how gets cuter everyday too. She has started to roll a little bit. She did it twice last Monday and twice Tuesday on her own but hasn't been able to do it since. Now whenever she's on her tummy though she tries to roll and then gets frustrated when she can't. She has pretty good control of her hands now and grabs everything and promptly puts it in her mouth.

She's discovered her toes too which she finds quite fascinating. It's very cute. When I get ready in the morning, i copied my sister and let Libby sit in the sink. She usually just watches me in the mirror. She has also started laughing a lot more. Aunt Jana was amazing at getting her to laugh. (we're sad she lives so far away). Libby laughed at Laila for about 10 minutes, the video below is about half way through her laughing spell.

May

It's been a busy month. Annaliese, Addie, Spencer, Diane & Ryan came to visit for Liberty's blessing. (pictures below). We had lots of fun playing games and had a fun trip to Fort Worden (see Annaliese & Diane's blogs for more about that)and some good times at Illahee . Annaliese, Carrissa & Becky made tutu's (see post below for pics). The same day that Annaliese & Addie left, Liberty, Becky & Becky's mom all flew down to California. In California we visited Grandma & Grandpa Olive. We got to see cousins, aunts & uncles too! Everybody loved Liberty and she was an angel. She really started to be vocal while we were down there. She also is getting more active too. She loved playing with the toy grandma bought her as you can see in the video. Grandma Olive spoiled Liberty with clothes at the outlet stores. It was a great trip! We are so glad we were able to visit.

Liberty's Blessing

Liberty was blessed on Mother's day May 9th! There's a picture outside of the church and a picture of all the people who helped make the dress: Ruth Ann Hill (grandma), Janet Olive (great grandma), Becky Bell (mom).

2 months

Liberty is 2 months old now! At her dr's appointment she measured 23.5 inches (90th percentile) and 10 lbs 10 oz (50th percentile). I don't know how she got so big. I am not sure the height is totally accurate b/c she was squirming around quite a bit. The Dr was very impressed by Libby and said she acted more like a 3 month old. (But who isn't impressed by Libby's awesomeness?) She is starting to grasp things a lot more, like rattles, monkey's and mommy's hair

She also likes to suck on her fingers, it's so cute. She still likes tummy time and tries so hard to crawl. I'm sure one of these days when I'm not looking, she'll crawl away. She is also sleeping much better. Only a few nights all the way till morning, but lately I've only had to get up once to feed her, so we're getting there.

A good night's sleep

Last night was amazing! Liberty slept from 11 pm till 6 am and then after a short feeding and a clean diaper, she went back to sleep until 8:30! I am a happy mommy today. Haven't gotten that much sleep uninterrupted in a really long time. I'm hoping she makes this a regular habit. She hardly napped at all yesterday though b/c we went to visit my grandma who is recovering from surgery and so Libby basically only napped during the car trips there and back (an hour each way). She was very good all day though for being so off her schedule. (Probably b/c she had her uncle Matthew there to make funny faces at her)
