St Patrick's Day

Libby wouldn't look at the camera, but they are cute
Can you get any cuter? He's so smiley!

it was hard to get a good one of them together

So happy to get a hug from Libby

Giving Elliot a kiss :) They love each other so much

So cute

putting Moroni on the temple

yum, frosting

Ballerina
Wow, 4 posts in one day. Lots going on lately. On friday I decided to make Libby a cool outfit out of some fabric I forgot my mom let me take. So I whipped up a cute (slightly small) skirt and a cool glitter shirt for her to wear on St Patty's day! Last week I made this awesome bow tie for Elliot which made him look like an adorable baby leprechan. My BFF Carrie came to visit for the weekend and we had a fun evening of visiting and eating delicious green desserts with friends. Julie and Michael also made corned beef and cabbage too which I always thought sounded disgusting, but it was actually really delicious! It might have to be a new tradition. Yum. Earlier in the day we went to a primary/nursery activity which was pretty fun. Libby got to pin angel Moroni onto the temple, make a crown with her family around it and decorate a house shaped cookie, which mostly involved her licking the frosting of the spoon. I love that our new ward has so many children Libby's age. We already have friends to play with during the week, which probably doesn't sound too impressive, but it took a lot longer for this to happen in our last ward with only 1 or 2 kids her age. Anyways, the kids looked adorable. it was good I took pictures in the morning cuz Elliot was extra spitty and I think he went through 3 or 4 outfits that day.

Newborn Elliot Pics

Mckinsie did a great job photographing Elliot when he was 2 months old. Here are my favorites from the bunch. She was very patient with him when he peed twice and pooped on her blankets. Sorry Mckinsie! I guess that's what happens when we make a baby be naked for too long. lol. Can't believe how much he's grown since then!

New Job and new major

Richard started a new job today!!! In Rexburg!!!! No more driving to/from Idaho Falls every day (probably almost 6 hours a week). No more spending $250/month on gas! I am so excited. It's only a part time job which will be perfect when school starts for him again next month. He is still working for Sprint. He is at their kiosk at the school book store. It's right next to the buildings where his classes will be too, so he will be able to go from class to work! It will be pretty sweet. We are excited.

Classes start in a little less than a month. Richard switched from Computer Science to Computer Information Technology with a minor in Computer Science. He'll be able to graduate in a shorter time doing this. It will still be at least Dec 2013 before he graduates, but he will get out of taking some math and science classes which I know he is excited about.

Potty Training and Libby being goofy

Potty Training is going really well. Libby stayed dry 3 out of the last 5 days. (not including nighttime and nap time, which we will work on after day times are successful). She even stayed dry during the primary activity we had and several times when we've been outside playing. Unfortunately we have yet to convince Libby to go #2 in the potty. We are even bribing her with ice cream sandwiches instead of jelly beans which she gets for #1. She tends to save her business for naptime when she has a diaper on. Lately though she has been taking that diaper off and then I have to clean up a big mess. Not fun for me. Any advice on how to stop this behavior would be appreciated. And she doesn't mind pooping in the panties, so making her wear those at naptime will probably not fix the problem. I'm so proud of her being able to tell me (most of the time) when she needs to go and her actually making it to the bathroom. It's really nice.  She gets super annoyed with me though if I ask her if she needs to go potty too often. I'm beginning to trust she'll tell me. Every time I suggest it she yells "NOOOOO!" in a whiny, annoyed tone of  voice. what a stinker.

This is not related to potty training but was funny. Yesterday Richard was sleeping on the couch after church and we wanted to go on a walk, so I told Libby to go poke daddy and tell him he was a lazy bum. She's a pretty good parrot, so she went in and tried to wake him unsuccessfully. Awhile later he got up and came into the bedroom where we were playing and Libby kept saying "Daddy, you crazy bum!" over and over again. It was pretty funny. That's also what she said to him as he left for work this morning. :) I love her! She makes me laugh so much.

Well Checks

On Tuesday both kids had their well baby check-ups. Little Elliot is sure growing like a weed! I can't believe how fast he's grown. He's more than tripled his birth weight. He wasn't even close to being on the charts when he was born. He's pretty solid too, way more than Libby was. I'm pretty sure she's just going to be tall and skinny and petite and beautiful forever.

ELLIOT: 4 months:
12 lbs 4 oz (6%) This is for his actual age, usually they do his adjusted age which would be about 15%
23.5 in (6%)

Milestones, etc:

Coos and smiles a lot
Puts toys into his mouth
Rolls from his back to his side (getting close to rolling all the way)
Very ticklish, a few laughs
Sleeps through the night! 10pm to 7:30am!!! AMAZING!
Loves baths
Loves Libby (and mommy and daddy)
Plays the maracas

LIBERTY: 2 years
22.5 lbs (4%--up from 2% at her last check....still a string bean though)
34 inches (53%)

Milestones, etc:
Can say pretty much anything (the dr asked if she had a 20-50 word vocabulary.....lets try 200 at least)
quotes movies, specifically Despicable Me
LOVES movies (a bit more than I would like her too)
Runs, jumps, goes up and down stairs easily
Sings songs
Loves Elliot
Can name all the ABC's (capital letters only)
Counts to 5
Excellent artist
Almost potty trained--some days are better than others to say the least.
Ridiculously stubborn
