Nesting and other pregnancy updates

Yesterday we set up the crib and got a mattress for it and put all of the blankets and stuffed animals in it from the baby shower. Richard even got into the nesting. I also bought some paint on Friday and on my day off I will be hopefully painting the book shelf and dresser for Libby's room. We aren't allowed to paint the walls so we are still figuring out how to decorate the room so it's not so boring. I'm very excited. I am kind of bummed that I still have to work another couple weeks. (I trained someone to take over my receptionist job for 4 weeks and told them after 2 that she wasn't catching on, but they didn't listen until after 4 weeks when she still hadn't caught on, so I get to train someone again starting Tuesday, but this time I am only giving them 1-2 weeks). I really want to stay home and do a million projects and get everything ready for the baby, but I guess I'll have to stick it out at least another week. I'm pretty tired these days. The baby really doesn't like me to sleep though. She will go up under my ribs when I try to sleep and kick me, plus it's almost impossible to find a comfortable position with this basketball belly. I've had a few Braaxton hicks contractions, but nothing really exciting or major going on. Dr appointment tomorrow and every 2 weeks after that till the baby comes! 49 days and we'll be parents.

  1. Hopefully only 49 days and not like an extra 2 weeks! It's so crazy to just suddenly have an entirely new member of your family. I'm so excited for you guys!

  2. Sounds like you guys are having lots of fun getting ready -- you'll have to post pics of what you do with her room! I hope this new replacement catches on quickly so you can get some rest before Libby makes her appearance!

  3. question: do you have to hold your belly up? or does it not sag.
concern: have you seen like a handprint pushing against the skin? that...would be crazy
